VCF for Windows is a Windows® based crash reconstruction formula calculator for law enforcement and insurance crash investigators. This is a full-featured crash calculator that is able to export data to word processors and paint or drawing programs. It includes the NHTSA vehicle database to make your job even easier.
What does it do?
With VCFWin you can calculate crash formulas on your Windows-based desktop or laptop computer. VCFWin incorporates the formulas found in the "Equations for the Traffic Accident Reconstructionist #47" manual from the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM) at the University of North Florida at Jacksonville. The formulas from the manual are grouped into Speed, Velocity, Time, Distance, Acceleration/Deceleration, Basic, Miscellaneous and Momentum formula groups for easier access.
VCFWin interfaces with Microsoft Word™. This feature allows you to paste your measurements, results and the formula used for the calculation directly into your investigation report. If you are not using Word, you can still cut and paste the information into the word processor of your choice.
VCFWin can launch any paint or drawing program on your PC or workstation by setting the "Preferences" dialog window. This will allow you to cut and paste your measurements and results into your scene diagram and use any or all of the measurements.
The registered version of VCFWin contains the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) vehicle database. This database contains vehicle data for all vehicles sold in the USA since 1990 with many entries of vehicle models ranging from 1975 to the present. The data for the selected vehicle can be exported to Microsoft Word or copied to the clipboard and pasted into any other word processor that you are currently using.

Microsoft Windows Vista
While VCFWin is 100% compatible with Microsoft 98/ME/2000/XP operating systems, Windows Vista has only been partially tested with VCFWin. To date, Prosirius Technologies has not received any compatibility issues from Windows Vista users.
Apple Mac OSX (Intel processor only)
VCFWin has not been tested on Apple Macintosh computers using Boot Camp or VMWare Fusion. Although most Windows PC software will run on the Intel-based Macintosh using these emulators, Prosirius Technologies does not guarantee that VCFWin will run correctly.
